Ghana to award players in tourism industry


Mr Alexander Kwame Nketia, Acting Northern Regional Manager of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) on Tuesday said the authority would continue with its National Tourism Awards (NTA).

He said the NTA is determined to award recognise people in the tourism industry.

Mr Nketia was speaking in Tamale during the media launch of the 2013 National Tourism Awards, which is slated for December 13.

Throwing more light on the awards, he said the venue for the NTA would keep changing from region to region and that another objective of the NTA is to encourage competition among players in the tourism industry.

The programme, which was on the theme: “Tourism: Gaining a competitive edge through innovation and service excellence,” was aimed at creating awareness of the NTAs in the Northern Region. cont reading at
