Seven communities in Sissala East live in fear over broken bridge

Seven Communities in the Sissala East District of the Upper West Region are living in fear as a broken bridge along the Tumu-Chinchan road remains unfixed.

The bridge which was constructed over a very big river to link the communities collapsed on June 4 June, 2009 and has since not been fixed though it was awarded on contract two years ago.

During the rainy season, the communities are often cut off from the District capital, thereby, denying them access to market and healthcare among other services.cont.reading
